About this treatment
Should you feel unhappy with the results of your chosen Dermal Filler procedure for whatever reason, we can reverse these effects very simply and easily. An enzyme called Hyaluronidase can be injected in order to dissolve the Hyaluronic Acid (Dermal Fillers). Both Hyaluronidase and Hyaluronic Acid are naturally produced by the body. Hyaluronidase breaks down any type of filler over a 24 hour period which makes it extremely fast acting and effective. You must keep in mind that if you feel you need your Dermal Fillers dissolved, you should wait at least 2 weeks before coming in for this procedure as this will allow for any swelling and/or bruising you may have from the initial treatment to subside. Before this procedure is carried out, one of our practitioners will guide you through everything during a consultation in order to ensure that this is the right route for you. It is possible to experience a localised allergic reaction to Hyalase and this procedure is particularly not recommended to those who have a history of allergic reactions to bee venom. After the procedure, it is common to experience slight bruising, although it is usually very minimal, this can be covered with makeup and fades within a few days following the procedure. 2 weeks after dissolving you will be able to have dermal filler injected into this area. What to expect If you decide to go ahead with removing fillers, here’s a general idea of what to expect: -First we will do a patch test by applying a small amount of hyaluronidase on your arm to check for an allergy or sensitivity. -If you don’t have any adverse reactions, we will clean your lips and apply numbing cream to the area to minimize discomfort from the needle. -We will then inject hyaluronidase into different parts of your lips, with the goal of getting the solution as close to the dermal filler as possible. Once finished, we'll clean your lips once more and apply aftercare balm or cream. After the patch test, the entire process takes just a few minutes. -Wait two weeks after dissolving then you will be able to have dermal filler injected into this area.
