About this treatment

The Russian lip technique uses smaller volumes of a dermal filler, placed in more parts of the lips. This gives much greater control over the product and its results and gives you a doll-like pout you can proudly flaunt. The injection procedure is also different from a standard filler in that it uses smaller syringes and injects small amounts at a time. This may seem like a drawback but it actually allows for more precision in manipulating the consistency of your lips as well as how far apart from one another they are after injection. In addition, because of this method being injected horizontally instead of vertically (like most other methods) there is no risk of pushing too much product into one area and making your lips look uneven or lumpy. Instead, because you’re injecting little amounts at once you can easily correct any problem areas before moving on with the rest of them. This Russian technique involves injecting hyaluronic acid into your upper lip (the part between your nose and top lip) via an injection needle. This creates a volume or “swelling effect” which looks natural when it settles down after about 10 minutes. The swelling also accentuates your cupid’s bow (that little dip on either side of your upper lip) making it appear more defined than usual. Its is often referred to as “Russian lip filler” because it’s a popular choice among Russian women. Dermal fillers can be used to combat the effects of ageing as well as contouring and enhancing facial features. The Dermal Filler used at Haus of Brow is Lumiful which is made from hyaluronic acid -a natural substance found in the body. Hyaluronic acid has excellent viscoelasticity, and has a high moisture retention capacity. When hyaluronic acid is injected into the skin it inflates and and cushions the skin to support, define and create facial contour, whilst volumising and restoring facial elasticity. It also restores and holds water to the surface of the skin to retain moisture. Building the foundation with all Dermal Fillers is key. Starting with 0.5ml-1ml then over time building this up to the desired look is advised for the most effective treatment. Should last around 6-12 months on average. Product contains Lidocaine which acts as a numbing agent to reduce pain throughout treatment.
